Within both the Mandates and Collections views in the console, you can create a single entry or multiple entries by uploading a populated Excel template. In this article, we provide instructions on how to create a single mandate and collection via the console and BankTech applets. To learn more about creating multiple entries by means of a file upload, refer to .

There is an industry limit of R25 000 for NAEDO collections. The bank will reject all collections over this amount.
Within the Mandates or Collections view, click on the Actions button in the menu bar and select Add.
A series of modal windows will appear that require information about the customer and the mandate.

The debtor's bank account number
Contract reference
The debit order reference that is visible on the debtor's bank statement and used in DebiCheck authentication

Debit day
The day on which collections occur (based on Frequency selection)
Start date
The start date of the billing series for the mandate
End date
The end date of the billing series for the mandate
Date adjustable
Whether or not date adjustment of the DebiCheck mandate is allowed (True, False)
First date
The debit date of the ad hoc initial collection (typically before the mandate series)
First amount
The debit amount of the ad hoc initial collection (typically before the mandate series)
Allow tracking
Whether or not tracking is permitted on the mandate (True, False)
Adjustment category
How frequently the DebiCheck mandate's value may be adjusted (Never, Quarterly, Bi-annually, Annually, Repo)
Adjustment rate
If provided, the percentage (%) value by which the DebiCheck mandate debit amount may be adjusted in the adjustment category
Adjustment amount
If provided, the flat value by which the DebiCheck mandate debit amount may be adjusted in the adjustment category
Creditor bank
Abbreviated name
The short name of the bank code configured on the BankTech system (up to 10 characters)
Once the forms have been completed and submitted, the data table will be updated accordingly. If either EFT or NAEDO was selected as a mandate instrument, the new mandate will show in the EFT/NAEDO tab view. Conversely, if DebiCheck was selected, the mandate will show in the DebiCheck tab view.

The bank to which submission for collection is made and to which funds are transferred from the on success (ABSA, Nedbank, Standard Bank)
Certain input fields, such as the account number, can be verified in two ways. The user can do a Check Digit Verification (CDV) check which is an offline and free sense check of the account number, i.e. the account number length matches the type of account for the specified bank. Alternatively, the user can fully verify whether an account is correct and active by clicking on the AVSR link. This service is live and pay-as-you-use.
